Mr. Montgomery is an associate in the Los Angeles office of Gibbs, Giden, Locher, Turner & Senet LLP. He is a civil litigation trial lawyer with over twenty years of litigation experience in the practice areas of civil trial and appellate law, insurance defense, products liability, construction defects and commercial law. Mr. Montgomery is a former partner of a prominent insurance and commercial law defense firm.
Mr. Montgomery specializes in the analysis, negotiation and defense of civil litigation matters including coverage issues, automobile accidents, construction defects, land subsidence, construction accidents, personal injury, professional liability, products liability and major losses. Mr. Montgomery's representative clients include State Farm Insurance Company, State Farm Mutual Automobile Insurance Company, Clarendon National Insurance Company, Advent Risk Management, Inc., and North American Risk Services. He handles cases, from initial legal counseling to major complex matters arising out of commercial, umbrella, personal injury and automobile policies.
Mr. Montgomery has been a member of the State Bar of California since 1981. He is President of the African American Insurance Professionals Foundation; former president and current member of the John M. Langston Bar Association; a panel arbitrator for the Los Angeles Superior Court; a member of the Commercial Law Section of the National Bar Association; and a member of the Association of Southern California Defense Counsel. Mr. Montgomery is listed in Strathmore's Who's Who.
Mr. Montgomery earned his Juris Doctorate degree from the University of California at Los Angeles School of Law, in the Moot Court Program, in 1981. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and Sociology from Northwestern University in 1978.
