Professional Experience:
Marion Hack is a partner in the firm's Los Angeles office. Ms. Hack has over 10 years of legal experience in the construction industry as well as several years acting as a construction manager for a residential developer prior to law school. Her practice includes a wide array of construction industry matters such as bidding disputes, contract negotiations and drafting, scheduling and delay issues, mechanic's lien and claims resolution. She is an expert in construction licensing issues and home improvement contracting. Ms. Hack has handled many multi-million dollar disputes on high profile, complex construction projects achieving favorable settlements and judgments on behalf of her clients.
She has represented some of the largest general contractors in claims arising from major construction projects, including the Hyperion Wastewater Treatment Plant, the Walt Disney Concert Hall, Pasadena School District Modernization projects, U. C. Davis Medical Center, and St. John's Regional Medical Center. Ms. Hack has also represented the owner including governmental agencies such as the Southern California Public Power Authority. Magnolia Power Plant, Burbank (Southern
California Public Power Authority)
- Mediated dispute on project resulting in owner paying minimal amount on $14 million claim by contractor.

Ms. Hack is AV rated by Martindale-Hubbell. She has also been selected as one of "Southern California Super Lawyer Rising Stars" for the past four consecutive years by Los Angeles

Ms. Hack is admitted to the California State Bar and both the U.S. District Court Central and Northern District of California. She is also a member of the Los Angeles County Bar Association.

Ms. Hack is a frequent author and lecturer on construction related topics. She is the editor and part author of the book California Construction Law, published by HLK Global Communications, Inc., (2007 - 650 pgs). She is also the author of an article New Requirements for Home Improvement Contracts that appeared in the Los Angeles Lawyer Magazine, (January 2007). She has been a guest professor in Construction Law at the Loyola Law School for several years (2005-2008). She has also taught many seminars including Nevada Change Orders, (Lorman Seminars 2008) and the firm's annual Review/Preview Seminar (2004-2008).

Ms. Hack received her JD from McGeorge School of Law, University of the Pacific, Sacramento, CA in 1995 with honors and her BS in Business Administration from the University of Southern California.
